As part of our mandate SAFARI COUTURE donates 20% of the gross proceeds from everything we sell to
charitable causes but Elisa Monique, the Design Lead at Safari Couture, wanted to create an opportunity
where we could do more. Born of the desire to make a difference with a direct impact Elisa has taken
on personal project and has called it 'Quarter for Change'.

Driven by the aspiration to support local communities by providing low-income earners with an improved
quality of life, the concept of Quarter for Change is comprised of two components: the collection of 25¢
donations and an inexpensive accessory line priced at $25.

Mixing past with present, Elisa has started the project by pairing pieces of jewelry from her personal
collection with new components to create a fresh line with the function of making change for the
future. Starting with a few pieces, $5 from the sale of each item will be donated towards the project.

Given the nature of the design process, many pieces are one-of-a kind or have a limited production
capability and though they are simple in design many of the new pieces are completely individual and
entirely unique.

Each piece was made with the belief that every dollar we spend has the power to shape the world. As
consumers we have the ability to make powerful choices and every action we take makes a statement
about the type of future we desire to build for our children. Every gesture, no matter how small, to a hungry
child or a homeless mother can make a world of difference. Synergizing our efforts towards a common goal
is greater than the sum of our separate endeavors and Elisa is reaching out to consumers who share
this vision.
